These are two abstract and more organic bodies that tell the story of where I've been. Throughout the hills and valleys of these works, I have carved in my previous addresses. The randomness and uncontrollable outcomes of raku firing were perfect for these pieces because it reflects the uncertainty of life, which while overwhelming at times, is what makes our lives more beautiful and interesting. I chose to reflect on the past in the process of feeling stuck planning my future and deciding where I'm going and this piece now acts as a reminder to accept wherever the future takes me.
